What you’ll do:

As a Vice President, Senior Regulatory and Enterprise Risk Counsel, you will lead significant regulatory projects across the enterprise. Additionally, this position will be a critical member of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team, working to identify and remediate critical regulatory and other risks for the organization. The position is located in Brentwood, TN, at Lifepoint’s corporate headquarters.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading significant regulatory projects for the organization
  • Critical member of the Enterprise Risk Management team working to identify and remediate critical regulatory and other risks for the organization.
  • Responsible for partnering with compliance, ERM, legal, People Services, Quality, operations, and others to develop policies and processes that address regulatory requirements, and taking lessons learned and helping to guide improvement efforts across the organization.
  • Liaison to the Compliance department to guide on new, emerging, or changing regulatory landscape and how that shapes company policies, training, and remediation efforts.
  • Forward looking to help the organization learn about new or emerging trends with regulatory implications.
  • Development of training programs for the ERM leaders and others to stay abreast of regulatory requirements.
  • Provide legal advice to the stakeholders throughout the enterprise
  • Perform duties and responsibilities assigned or delegated from time-to-time by the Chief Administrative and Legal Officer.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school

Experience:

  •  Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years progressive experience as a licensed attorney, working directly on regulatory strategy and projects.
  • Significant working knowledge of laws relating to general acute care hospitals, inpatient rehabilitation facilities and behavioral health facilities.
  • Preference for experience in large, complex health systems

Certifications/Licensure:

  • BLicensed to practice law in the State of Tennessee.
