If you’re a well-rounded in-house counsel looking to work with a long-standing, stable company in the food and beverage industry helping to oversee commercial legal matters for the company’s North American operations, this may be the role for you. This Regional Counsel role includes responsibility for advising the commercial teams on a wide number of matters. This includes reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements, advising on corporate governance, risk, antitrust, competition and anti-bribery issues, partnering with the compliance department on national and global best practices and privacy policies, and researching/monitoring regulatory matters relevant to manufacturing and sales in the food and beverage industry.
This is a full-time, on-site (in Louisville) position. As the Regional Counsel, you’ll be at the forefront of helping provide strategic advice on commercial and corporate matters. This is a highly visible role within the company and will include regular interaction with the C-Suite and business leadership as well as managing one or more direct reports. Previous legal experience for clients in the food and beverage industry and/or franchising experience is required, as is a working knowledge of supply chain, distribution, pricing and antitrust issues. Your day-to-day will involve navigating complex regulatory landscapes and advising on critical matters, using both your strong business sense and deep experience with commercial contracts to help guide the company forward. You will also support the growth and development of the business, so a firm understanding of matters related to importing, distributing, marketing and sales in the food and beverage industry is important.
