Bass, Berry & Sims attorney Angie Bergman was named a finalist for the 2026 Nashville Emerging Leaders Awards (NELAS). Angie was named a finalist in the Legal Services category. Each year through this awards program the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce and YP Nashville recognize young professionals ages 21–40 who are excelling in their careers and making a meaningful impact across Middle Tennessee. The NELAS recognize a winner in each of 14 industry categories and are chosen based on submitted essay responses, professional achievement, demonstrated leadership and community impact.

Angie Bergman
Angie represents healthcare providers and companies facing government investigations or audits, False Claims Act lawsuits, and compliance concerns. She represents a broad range of clients in all sectors of the healthcare industry including hospitals, behavioral health providers, ambulatory surgery centers, home health and hospice providers.
Angie is an also active participant in the firm’s pro bono initiatives, devoting significant efforts to fighting for the constitutional rights of Tennesseans. She works regularly on issues relating to criminal legal reform, extreme sentencing, juvenile justice, and indigent defense in the state. In 2019 she completed the firm’s first Fellowship placement, serving full time for six months in a pro bono capacity in the community. During her Fellowship, Angie worked with Choosing Justice Initiative where she advocated for bail reform in Nashville’s criminal courts, federal court, and alongside the Nashville Public Defender’s Office.
