Wes’ practice focuses on public equity offerings and other corporate finance matters in addition to advising public companies with respect to the registration, reporting and disclosure requirements of the Securities and Exchange Commission. Wes also works with clients on a variety of corporate matters including corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and private placements of securities.

Representative Matters:
  • Issuer’s counsel in $165 million follow-on offering of common stock of NYSE-listed public storage REIT;
  • Issuer’s counsel in $120 million follow-on offering of common stock of NYSE-listed student housing REIT;
  • Counsel to affiliated commercial retail property REITs in connection with two-step merger transaction involving aggregate proceeds of $195 million; and
  • Counsel to NYSE-listed revenue and payment cycle management solutions provider in its acquisition of the patient statement division of a wholly-owned subsidiary of a Fortune 100 company for an aggregate cost of approximately $20 million.

Wes is a member of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts and the firm’s Corporate Finance, Real Estate Capital Markets and Corporate Governance Specialty Subgroups.

Wes was a four-year letterman as a member of the Ole Miss football team and is a lifetime member of the university’s M-Club.
