Taylor has an active practice in the Compliance and Government Investigations Group. He has represented a diverse group of clients, including companies in the healthcare and financial services sectors.

FCPA & Anti-Corruption: Taylor counsels clients regarding the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and other anti-corruption law. He has conducted internal investigations regarding business activities in China, Southeast Asia, India, and North Africa, among other jurisdictions. He has handled numerous witness interviews in foreign jurisdictions, coordinated with forensic audit and local counsel teams and managed the collection and review of large volumes of documents in time-sensitive investigations. In addition to internal investigations, Taylor also has assisted corporate clients with anti-corruption compliance in prospective acquisitions and has developed tailored compliance and training programs for companies ranging from private healthcare clients to large-cap retailers.

Healthcare Fraud and Abuse: While at Bass, Berry & Sims, Taylor has represented a broad range of healthcare clients, including Healthways, AmSurg and Ardent Health Services. His engagements have included defense of False Claims Act qui tam suits alleging Anti-Kickback Statute violations; putative class actions; claims related to Recovery Audit Contractors (RACs); and other complex litigation. 

Taylor’s other recent matters include:
  • eBay Inc. - Taylor assisted in the firm's defense of the company from alleged multi-million dollar breach-of-contract and business-tort claims.
  • Genesco – UBS/Finish Line litigation. Taylor worked on trial and production teams as part of the firm’s successful representation of Genesco in its suit seeking enforcement of a $1.3 billion merger agreement.
  • Morgan Keegan & Company, Inc. credit crisis litigation. Taylor assisted in preparing dispositive motions in multiple derivative cases and putative class actions relating to fund investments in mortgage-backed securities.

Taylor is active in the community and has handled pro bono suits ranging from adoptions and landlord-tenant actions to appeals of Iraqi war veterans’ benefits applications. He is a black belt in tae kwon do.
