Scott focuses his practice in the areas of commercial litigation, real estate litigation and business restructuring and bankruptcy.

Commercial: Scott has represented corporations in breach of contract and commercial landlord-tenant lawsuits. Scott is currently assisting in the representation of several victims of large-scale investment fraud.

Real Estate: Scott has managed litigation on behalf of both property owners and secured lenders in title dispute lawsuits. Scott is currently representing victims of a nationwide fraudulent mortgage release scheme.

Business Restructuring and Bankruptcy: Scott has counseled corporate clients contemplating bankruptcy on the potential treatment in bankruptcy of their assets and liabilities. Scott has also represented corporate claimants against bankrupt estates.

Representative Matters include:
  • Representation of a homeowner, mortgage lender and mortgage servicer in defense of a lawsuit related to a nationwide fraudulent mortgage release scheme.
  • Representation of liquor distributors and automobile dealerships in breach of contract disputes.
  • Representation of a corporate landlord in a claim against the estate of a bankrupt tenant.

Scott grew up in Macon, Georgia. Prior to law school, Scott worked for former president Bill Clinton and for Howard Dean’s presidential campaign.
