Scott Tift named to Board of Directors of the Nashville Chapter of the American Constitution Society
Nashville, Tenn., December 11, 2008 – Scott Tift, an attorney in the Litigation Practice at Bass, Berry & Sims, has been named to the board of directors of the Nashville Chapter of the American Constitution Society for Law and Policy.
Tift, a native of Macon, Georgia, received his J.D. in 2008 from the Vanderbilt University Law School, where he served as the executive director of the Vanderbilt Legal Aid Society and as the coordinator of the Vanderbilt Intramural Moot Court Competition. Upon Graduation, Tift was elected to the Order of the Coif and received the Philip G. Davidson III Memorial Award and the Junius L. Allison Legal Aid Award. Prior to law school, he worked on former president Bill Clinton’s scheduling and advance staff. Tift holds a B.A. in history, summa cum laude, from Columbia University in 2003.
