Rishab Jaju is an associate in Bass, Berry & Sims' Corporate and Securities Practice. His practice involves the representation of public and private companies in a variety of capacities, including mergers and acquisitions, private placements of securities and corporate governance.

Representative Matters and Experience include:
  • Representing publicly-traded and private clients in numerous acquisitions and divestitures ranging in value from $1 million to $150 million per transaction.
  • Providing a broad range of corporate legal services for public and private company clients, including drafting, updating and reviewing a variety of company contracts, corporate governance documents, and purchase and sale agreements.
  • Advising company clients on a variety of corporate governance matters, including compliance with federal and state securities law requirements, compliance with stock exchange listing standards, creation of committee charters and corporate governance guidelines, board and committee composition issues, insider trading policies and 10b5-1 trading plans.
  • Advising public company clients in connection with their preparation of Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy statements and earnings releases.
  • Conducting a multi-year regulatory audit of a leading securities exchange.
  • Advising start-up and emerging companies regarding incorporation, seed financings, venture capital financings and acquisitions.

A native of Nashville, Rishab graduated cum laude from Boston University in 2005 with a B.A. in economics and international relations and a M.A. in economics. In 2008, he received his law degree from Boston University School of Law. While in law school, he was a member of the Edward C. Stone Moot court and the South Asian American Law Students Association.
