M. Ruthie Hagan joined Bass, Berry & Sims in 2007 and is an associate in the firm's Litigation Practice Area.  Her experience includes construction and banking law, bankruptcy, business disputes, commercial real estate foreclosures and lender liability.  Prior to joining the firm, Ruthie was an associate at Quattlebaum, Grooms, Tull & Burrow PLLC in Little Rock, Arkansas, where she focused primarily on bankruptcy and debtor and creditor rights.

In 2000, Ruthie graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science in chemistry.  She then attended the University of Arkansas, earning a master's degree in higher education in 2003 and her law degree, cum laude, in 2004.  While in law school, Ruthie served on the Board of Advocates and as managing editor for the Arkansas Law Review.  Additionally, she was awarded the American Bankruptcy Institute Medal of Excellence and the Arkansas Bar Foundation Scholarship.
