Robert Dempsey is an associate in Bass, Berry & Sims' Corporate and Securities Practice Area. His practice involves the representation of public and private companies in a variety of capacities, including mergers and acquisitions, private placements of securities and corporate governance.
A native of Memphis, Robert graduated cum laude from Duke University with a B.A. degree in history in 1998. While at Duke, Robert was elected to serve in the Student Government. After graduating, he attended the business bridge program at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
In 2006, Robert received his law degree from Vanderbilt University Law School, with a concentration in law and business. While in law school, he received the Legal Writing Scholastic Excellence award, the Paul H. Sanders scholarship and was named to the Dean's List. Robert joined Bass, Berry & Sims as an associate in September of 2006.
Prior to law school, Robert worked in corporate finance for a Fortune 500 company in Memphis.
