On December 1, 2016, Parker Hannifin Corporation and CLARCOR Inc. announced that the companies have entered into a definitive agreement under which Parker will acquire CLARCOR for approximately $4.3 billion in cash, including the assumption of net debt. The transaction has been unanimously approved by the board of directors of each company. Upon closing of the transaction, expected to be completed by or during the first quarter of Parker’s fiscal year 2018, CLARCOR will be combined with Parker’s Filtration Group to form a leading and diverse global filtration business. Attorneys Analyze Significant Settlements in 2014 Related to Stark Law Enforcement

For the second year in a row, Bass, Berry & Sims attorneys Danielle Sloane, Lauren Gaffney and Amy Sanders provided a review of the past year's significant 2014 settlements and judicial decisions resolving alleged Stark violations, incorporating discussion of the Anti-Kickback Statute when relevant. Their analysis also considers the implications of these cases in relation to future compliance activities.

The article, "Fallen Halos, Excessive Salaries, and Turning Yourself In: A Look Back at 2014 Stark Law Enforcement," was published by the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA) in the February 2015 issue of AHLA Connections.
