Primary Care Providers Win Challenge of CMS Interpretation of Enhanced Payment Law

With the help and support of the Tennessee Medical Association, 21 Tennessee physicians of underserved communities joined together and retained Bass, Berry & Sims to file suit against the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to stop improper collection efforts. Our team, led by David King, was successful in halting efforts to recoup TennCare payments that were used legitimately to expand services in communities that needed them. Read more

Timothy Van Hal advises clients on a variety of corporate, securities and capital markets law matters including advice related to corporate restructurings, securities offerings and transactions, mergers and acquisitions, corporate refinancings and general corporate matters. He has worked on a variety of debt and equity deals serving corporate clients as well as private equity houses and underwriting banks as well as varied mergers and acquisitions, block trades, and other smaller capital markets matters. Tim works across a range of industries including manufacturing, financial services, pharmaceuticals, biotech, REITs and online retailers.

Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, Tim practiced at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP in Frankfurt, Germany, as part of their U.S. Capital Markets team.
