On December 1, 2016, Parker Hannifin Corporation and CLARCOR Inc. announced that the companies have entered into a definitive agreement under which Parker will acquire CLARCOR for approximately $4.3 billion in cash, including the assumption of net debt. The transaction has been unanimously approved by the board of directors of each company. Upon closing of the transaction, expected to be completed by or during the first quarter of Parker’s fiscal year 2018, CLARCOR will be combined with Parker’s Filtration Group to form a leading and diverse global filtration business. Justin Starling has been actively involved in more than $6.7 billion in financings and nearly $1.9 billion in real estate acquisitions, dispositions, development and redevelopment projects since 2013. With a focus on regional and national publicly traded real estate investment trusts (REITs), Justin advises on complex commercial real estate and financial transactions. Formerly a senior planner for the City of Jackson, Mississippi Department of Planning and Development, Justin also has significant experience in land development and zoning issues.

Working with real estate developers and investors, as well as borrowers and lenders, Justin's practice involves:

  • Real Estate – Advising on the acquisition, financing, development and sale of commercial properties; experience with redevelopment projects, including public/private partnerships.
  • Commercial Finance – Advising on structuring real estate and other asset-based loan transactions; experience in CMBS loans and syndicated credit facilities.

Drawing upon his experience in urban planning, Justin is a valuable resource to the firm's real estate group on title, survey and land use issues. Justin also has significant experience in distressed real estate issues and serves as a member of the firm's Distressed Real Estate Task Force.
