Primary Care Providers Win Challenge of CMS Interpretation of Enhanced Payment Law

With the help and support of the Tennessee Medical Association, 21 Tennessee physicians of underserved communities joined together and retained Bass, Berry & Sims to file suit against the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to stop improper collection efforts. Sehrish Siddiqui counsels a wide variety of public companies primarily in the areas of corporate finance, compliance and governance. She has served as counsel to underwriters, agents and issuers for more than 100 initial public offerings, follow-on offerings and at-the-market programs of various NYSE- and Nasdaq-traded entities. Her national and international clients include healthcare companies, real estate investment trusts, business development companies, retail and consumer product companies and investment banks.

Sehrish's practice includes:

  • Public offerings of securities for both issuers and underwriters.
  • Compliance with the registration and governance requirements of the Securities Act, Exchange Act and 1940 Act.
  • Broker-dealer compliance with applicable regulations of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
  • Other corporate matters including mergers and acquisitions and private placements.

Prior to joining the firm, Sehrish interned at the SEC in the Office of the Inspector General where she assisted with internal audits and investigations.
