Envision to Sell to KKR for $9.9 Billion

We represented Envision Healthcare Corporation (NYSE: EVHC) in its definitive agreement to sell to KKR in an all-cash transaction for $9.9 billion, including debt. KKR will pay $46 per Envision share in cash to buy the company, marking a 32 percent premium to the company's volume-weighted average share price from November 1, when Envision announced it was considering its options. The transaction is expected to close the fourth quarter of 2018. Read more

David Rue assumed the role of Managing Director, Strategic Pricing and Client Value in September 2016. In this position, David leads a multi-disciplinary team in the analysis and implementation of the firm's pricing strategies; and the client value component of the firm's Client Experience Initiative, a comprehensive program aimed at maximizing client satisfaction. Prior to this role, David served as the firm's Chief Strategy Officer. David first joined the firm in 2009, serving as its first Managing Director of the Corporate & Securities Practice Group. 

Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, David spent 20 years with Bowne & Co., Inc. in various sales, management and marketing capacities in Nashville, Atlanta and New York. He founded '34 Act Software Development, LLC, an early XBRL enabled EDGAR filing software company, and practiced law with Speight & Parker in Nashville early in his career.

David is a founding member of the Chapter Advisory Board and Treasurer of the Music City Chapter of the Coastal Conservation Association. David graduated from Western Kentucky University with a B.A. in communications and earned his J.D. from the University of Kentucky.
