Primary Care Providers Win Challenge of CMS Interpretation of Enhanced Payment Law

With the help and support of the Tennessee Medical Association, 21 Tennessee physicians of underserved communities joined together and retained Bass, Berry & Sims to file suit against the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to stop improper collection efforts. Our team, led by David King, was successful in halting efforts to recoup TennCare payments that were used legitimately to expand services in communities that needed them. Read more

Andy Rittenhouse's practice is primarily comprised of intellectual property and traditional business litigation as well as assisting clients in the protection of their intellectual property.  His practice includes:

  • Intellectual Property & Traditional Business Litigation – Assisting clients in all aspects of intellectual property disputes, breach of contract disputes, business torts, non-compete and other employment contract disputes, business fraud, regulatory actions, government investigations, and compliance issues.
  • Intellectual Property & Technology – Assisting clients with transactions involving intellectual property assets, including acquisitions, collaboration agreements, and supply and licensing agreements.
  • Patent Prosecution & USPTO Proceedings – Assisting clients in developing intellectual property strategies, including preparing and filing applications with the USPTO, coordinating counterpart filings throughout the world, and representing clients in PTAB proceedings.

Andy is a registered United States patent attorney.  He earned his law degree from the University of Arkansas School of Law and received a B.A. in chemistry from Arkansas State University.
