On December 1, 2016, Parker Hannifin Corporation and CLARCOR Inc. announced that the companies have entered into a definitive agreement under which Parker will acquire CLARCOR for approximately $4.3 billion in cash, including the assumption of net debt. The transaction has been unanimously approved by the board of directors of each company. Upon closing of the transaction, expected to be completed by or during the first quarter of Parker’s fiscal year 2018, CLARCOR will be combined with Parker’s Filtration Group to form a leading and diverse global filtration business. Peter focuses his practice on banking matters including lending, regulatory, corporate representation, leasing and real estate transactions.

  • Financial Transactions – Peter represents several state and national banks. As special counsel, he is involved in structuring commercial transactions including asset-based loans, real estate development, construction lending and equipment financing. Peter has extensive experience in counseling clients with respect to bank regulatory matters and creditor relations involving lender liability and loan workouts.

Peter spent most of his career running Malone & Hyde Financial Corp., a captive financial subsidiary of a wholesale food distributor with a portfolio in excess of $200,000,000. He later became President and CEO of Seven Oaks International, a publicly traded coupon clearing house.

Peter is a board member and past Chairman of ArtsMemphis. He also is on the board of directors for American Cancer Society (ACS) Mid-South Division, Inc. and successfully co-chaired an $8,500,000 campaign for the Memphis ACS Hope Lodge which opened December 2010. He currently serves on the UVA Memphis Jefferson Scholars Committee and is a Trustee of the Plough Foundation.
