In June 2016, AmSurg Corp. and Envision Healthcare Holdings, Inc. (Envision) announced they have signed a definitive merger agreement pursuant to which the companies will combine in an all-stock transaction. Upon completion of the merger, which is expected to be tax-free to the shareholders of both organizations, the combined company will be named Envision Healthcare Corporation and co-headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee and Greenwood Village, Colorado. The company's common stock is expected to trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol: EVHC. Bass, Berry & Sims served as lead counsel on the transaction, led by Jim Jenkins. Tracy Paden is the Managing Director for the Real Estate & Finance, Labor & Employment, and Public Finance Practice Groups at Bass, Berry & Sims. In her role, Tracy works closely with the practice chairs on overall practice group management with a focus on client service, growth and profitability.

Having spent her entire career in the professional services marketing field, Tracy understands how to best bring value and make an impact in this setting. Tracy started her career in the legal industry at Boult, Cummings, Conners & Berry, PLC (now Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP), eventually serving as Chief Marketing Officer. She also worked as a marketing manager for Pillsbury Winthrop LLP (now Pillsbury Wintrop Shaw Pittman LLP) in New York City; and ran an independent consulting practice providing marketing and business development strategy and implementation services to professional services businesses with a particular focus on the legal profession. Immediately prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, Tracy served as the Director of Marketing for Avondale Partners, a Nashville-based boutique investment banking firm.

Tracy is a member of the Legal Marketing Association, a past board member of the Nashville Chapter of the American Marketing Association and serves on the board of Our Kids. She received her B.S. in Public Relations and Marketing from Middle Tennessee State University.
