On December 1, 2016, Parker Hannifin Corporation and CLARCOR Inc. announced that the companies have entered into a definitive agreement under which Parker will acquire CLARCOR for approximately $4.3 billion in cash, including the assumption of net debt. The transaction has been unanimously approved by the board of directors of each company. Upon closing of the transaction, expected to be completed by or during the first quarter of Parker’s fiscal year 2018, CLARCOR will be combined with Parker’s Filtration Group to form a leading and diverse global filtration business. Bass, Berry & Sims has served CLARCOR as primary corporate and securities counsel for 10 years and served as lead counsel on this transaction. Read more here.

Tracy Paden is the Managing Director for the Real Estate & Finance, Labor & Employment, and Public Finance Practice Groups at Bass, Berry & Sims. In her role, Tracy works closely with the practice chairs on overall practice group management with a focus on client service, growth and profitability.

Having spent her entire career in the professional services marketing field, Tracy understands how to best bring value and make an impact in this setting. Tracy started her career in the legal industry at Boult, Cummings, Conners & Berry, PLC (now Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP), eventually serving as Chief Marketing Officer. She also worked as a marketing manager for Pillsbury Winthrop LLP (now Pillsbury Wintrop Shaw Pittman LLP) in New York City; and ran an independent consulting practice providing marketing and business development strategy and implementation services to professional services businesses with a particular focus on the legal profession. Immediately prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, Tracy served as the Director of Marketing for Avondale Partners, a Nashville-based boutique investment banking firm.

Tracy is a member of the Legal Marketing Association, a past board member of the Nashville Chapter of the American Marketing Association and serves on the board of Our Kids. She received her B.S. in public relations and marketing from Middle Tennessee State University.
