Michael Kapellas is an associate in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice Group. He focuses on representing clients in business disputes and general commercial litigation. In addition, he works with broker-dealers and financial institutions to resolve various disputes and regulatory matters.
Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, Michael served as a judicial clerk for The Honorable Sheryl H. Lipman in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee. He earned his law degree from The University of Memphis, Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law.
Before entering law school, Michael was a journalist and taught journalism courses at Lane College and Indiana University. Michael earned an M.A. from Indiana University's School of Journalism and he received a B.J. from the University of Missouri.
