In June 2016, AmSurg Corp. and Envision Healthcare Holdings, Inc. (Envision) announced they have signed a definitive merger agreement pursuant to which the companies will combine in an all-stock transaction. Upon completion of the merger, which is expected to be tax-free to the shareholders of both organizations, the combined company will be named Envision Healthcare Corporation and co-headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee and Greenwood Village, Colorado. The company's common stock is expected to trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol: EVHC. Bass, Berry & Sims served as lead counsel on the transaction, led by Jim Jenkins. Taylor Gray's practice is focused on all aspects of commercial real estate and commercial lending for clients across the United States. In the last five years, Taylor has represented public and private businesses and financial institutions with regards to more than $1 billion worth of commercial real estate transactions and more than $500 million worth of financing transactions.

Taylor advises developers, owner/operators, real estate investment trusts (REITs), and banks and institutional lenders on:

  • Real Estate Matters – Advising on the acquisition, financing, development, leasing, management and disposition of commercial real estate and other assets with a special emphasis on multi-family, office, retail and self-storage REITs; advises on the entitlement process, including zoning, land use, and tax incentives.
  • Financial Transactions – Advising on loan originations, modifications, note sales, workouts and foreclosures; negotiates large and small credit facilities for borrowers and lenders. 

Prior to joining the firm, Taylor practiced at Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs, LLP and a predecessor commercial real estate firm.
