Primary Care Providers Win Challenge of CMS Interpretation of Enhanced Payment Law

With the help and support of the Tennessee Medical Association, 21 Tennessee physicians of underserved communities joined together and retained Bass, Berry & Sims to file suit against the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to stop improper collection efforts. Our team, led by David King, was successful in halting efforts to recoup TennCare payments that were used legitimately to expand services in communities that needed them. Read more

Laura Dolan is the Lateral Recruiter at Bass, Berry & Sims. In this role, Laura manages the lateral attorney recruiting process for the firm. She works closely with the firm's practice group chairs and firm management to establish the lateral attorney recruitment strategy for the firm. Drawing upon her prior experience as an attorney search consultant and as a practicing attorney, Laura actively identifies and recruits potential lateral attorneys from across the country. Laura is additionally the firm's point of contact for outside search firms interested in partnering with the firm in its recruitment efforts. 

Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, Laura was an attorney recruiter for two prominent international search firms and previously served as general counsel to a super-regional restaurant franchisor. 

Laura earned her bachelor's degree, cum laude, from Vanderbilt University and her J.D. from Ave Maria School of Law. Laura serves on the board of directors for nonprofit Williamson County CASA and is passionate about giving back to her community.
