Envision to Sell to KKR for $9.9 Billion

We represented Envision Healthcare Corporation (NYSE: EVHC) in its definitive agreement to sell to KKR in an all-cash transaction for $9.9 billion, including debt. KKR will pay $46 per Envision share in cash to buy the company, marking a 32 percent premium to the company's volume-weighted average share price from November 1, when Envision announced it was considering its options. The transaction is expected to close the fourth quarter of 2018. Read more

Kevin Butler is an associate in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice Group where he represents clients in complex litigation, securities and shareholder litigation, healthcare fraud and abuse matters, contract disputes, and business torts. In addition, Kevin also counsels clients in response to government investigations and related civil and criminal proceedings. 

Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, Kevin was a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Bernice B. Donald with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and for the Honorable John J. Tuchi with the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona. In addition, Kevin was an associate at K&L Gates, LLP in Chicago where he represented clients in commercial disputes, investigations, enforcement actions and white collar matters.
