Derick Blakely provides healthcare regulatory counsel as it relates to compliance, operational and transactional matters. He works with a range of the firm's healthcare clients, including ambulatory surgery centers, hospitals and others.
Derick earned a law degree from American University Washington College of Law and a B.A. in history from the University of Virginia. During law school, Derick worked at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Inspector General and the D.C. Office of Inspector General where he investigated and analyzed issues related to healthcare fraud and abuse. Prior to attending law school, Derick worked in consulting and leverages that experience in his law practice.
