Pooneh Ghiassi is an associate in Bass, Berry & Sims' Healthcare Practice Area.  Pooneh's areas of practice include: operational and regulatory work for a broad range of health care providers, including hospitals and health systems, academic medical centers, and physician organizations; analyzing fraud and abuse, self-referral and related issues affecting health care companies; conducting due diligence; representing disease management companies; advising clients with respect to privacy law concerns; and representing healthcare providers in licensure and Medicare and Medicaid certification matters.

Pooneh graduated from The University of Melbourne in Australia with a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws, with honors.  In 2005, she received her law degree from Vanderbilt University Law School.  While in law school, she was a member of the Baha'i Student Association and completed an externship at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission from Fall 2004 until Spring 2005.

Pooneh is fluent in Farsi.  A native of Australia, she enjoys swimming and playing the piano.
