Nesrin Tift joined Bass, Berry & Sims PLC in September 2008 as an associate in the firm's Healthcare Practice. Her practice focuses on operational and regulatory work for a broad range of healthcare providers and companies, including hospitals, ambulatory surgical centers and academic medical centers. She is also a member of the firm's Healthcare Information Technology Specialty Group. Nesrin is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA) and serves on the AHLA's Young Professionals Council.

Nesrin received her J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School in 2008. While in law school, she co-taught a "Women & The Law" class. After graduating magna cum laude from Harvard University with a B.A. in women’s studies, Nesrin worked at the University of California, San Francisco in the Medical Ethics Program. In 2005, Nesrin received her M.Sc. from the London School of Economics, where she wrote her dissertation on women’s role in stem cell research policy-making in the United Kingdom.

Nesrin is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association. She is the co-author of "Informed Consent 30 Years After the Belmont Report: Lawyers' Duties to their Clients in Light of What We Have Learned," presented at the AHLA Life Sciences Law Institute in October 2009.
