Nesrin Garan joined Bass, Berry & Sims in September 2008 as an associate in the firm's Healthcare Practice.

Nesrin received her J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School in 2008. While in law school, she was the secretary of the Outlaw Society and co-taught a “Women & The Law” class.

After graduating magna cum laude from Harvard University with a B.A. in women’s studies, Nesrin worked at the University of California San Francisco as a coordinator in the Medical Ethics and Greenwall Faculty Scholars programs. In 2005, Nesrin received her M.Sc. from the London School of Economics, where she wrote her dissertation on women’s role in stem cell research policy-making.
