Primary Care Providers Win Challenge of CMS Interpretation of Enhanced Payment Law

With the help and support of the Tennessee Medical Association, 21 Tennessee physicians of underserved communities joined together and retained Bass, Berry & Sims to file suit against the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to stop improper collection efforts. Bass, Berry & Sims attorney Angela Humphreys was named to the 2017-2018 board of directors for the Nashville Health Care Council. For more than 20 years, the association has sought to inspire global collaboration to improve healthcare by serving as a catalyst for leadership and innovation. The board is comprised of healthcare leaders from a variety of industry sectors and serves the nearly 300 corporate members.
