Primary Care Providers Win Challenge of CMS Interpretation of Enhanced Payment Law

With the help and support of the Tennessee Medical Association, 21 Tennessee physicians of underserved communities joined together and retained Bass, Berry & Sims to file suit against the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to stop improper collection efforts. Bass Berry & Sims and AutoZone team up to offer Memphis-Area Seniors Free Legal Aid at the Seventh Annual "Give a Little, Help a Lot" Clinic

Memphis, Tenn. (July 22, 2015) – On Wednesday, July 22, 2015, AutoZone, Inc., and Bass, Berry & Sims PLC in conjunction with Memphis Area Legal Services (MALS) will host their seventh annual pro bono legal clinic at the Orange Mound Senior Center, 2590 Park Avenue, to assist Memphis-area seniors from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

"AutoZone and Bass, Berry & Sims have a terrific partnership in place, where our team members work side-by-side to assist low-income seniors with their health care planning and provide other essential legal advice," says, Kristen C. Wright, General Counsel and Secretary, Customer Satisfaction, AutoZone. "With guidance from Memphis Area Legal Services, Bass, Berry & Sims and AutoZone teams have served hundreds of seniors at the Orange Mound Community Center over the last six years."

We feel truly fortunate that we get to collaborate with AutoZone and MALS and provide seniors in the community convenient and cost-free access to essential legal services," said Jonathan Nelson, attorney at Bass, Berry & Sims and clinic volunteer coordinator.

During the clinic, attorneys, paralegals and other volunteers from Bass, Berry & Sims, AutoZone and MALS will come together to assist seniors with the preparation of advance care plans, health care directives, durable power of attorney forms, wills and other essential legal advice.
