Angela L. Bergman (Nashville) will focus her practice on healthcare litigation, assisting clients facing claims of fraud, patient protection violations and government investigations. Angela received her law degree from Vanderbilt University and a B.A. in political science and international studies from Northwestern University.
Samuel J.H. Beutler (Nashville) joins the firm’s Corporate and Securities practice and will assist companies on corporate transactions and securities regulatory filings and compliance. Sam graduated from Vanderbilt University Law School and earned a B.A. in history and political science from Yale University.
Carrie C. Erickson (Nashville) will focus her practice on executive compensation and employee benefits law. She advises clients related to the administration of retirement plans and executive compensation. Prior to joining the firm, Carrie practiced at Sidley Austin, LLP in Chicago. She earned her J.D. from Vanderbilt University and received her B.A. in journalism and mass communications from the University of South Carolina.

Thomas Gossett (Nashville) joins the firm’s Commercial and Real Estate practice and will assist public and private companies across a broad range of industries with commercial real estate projects and debt financings. Tommy graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law and earned a B.S. in business administration from the University of Tennessee at Martin.
Jonathan D. Mitchell (Nashville) joins the firm’s Corporate and Securities practice and will focus on mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining the firm, Jonathan practiced at Ice Miller LLP in Columbus, Ohio. Jonathan earned his law degree from Georgetown University. He earned an M.B.A. from The Ohio State University, Fisher College of Business and a B.A. in political science from the University of Dayton.
James Polk Moneyhun, Jr. (Knoxville) will focus on commercial transactions including work related to public finance, real estate, commercial lending and economic development incentives. Prior to joining the firm, Jay practiced real estate and business law at Egerton, McAfee, Armistead & Davis P.C. in Knoxville, Tennessee. Jay received his law degree from the University of Tennessee and a B.S. in biomedical engineering from the University of Tennessee.
Aaron C. Moody (Nashville) joins the firm’s Corporate and Securities practice and will counsel clients on mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance issues. Aaron earned his J.D. from the University of Kentucky and a B.A. in history from Davidson College.
R. Gregory Parker (Nashville) joins the firm’s Intellectual Property and Technology practice. Prior to joining the firm Greg practiced at White & Case LLP in New York, New York. Greg earned his law degree from the University of Notre Dame and a B.A. in molecular and cellular biology from Vanderbilt University.
William R. Peeples (Nashville) joins the firm’s Corporate and Securities practice and will counsel clients on mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance issues. Will graduated from Vanderbilt University Law School and earned an M.Acc. and a B.B.A. in business administration from Belmont University.
Mary Leigh Pirtle (Nashville) will focus her practice on labor and employment law. Prior to joining the firm, Mary Leigh practiced at King & Ballow and was a former assistant attorney general for the state of Tennessee, where she represented Tennessee consumers against violations of Tennessee’s Consumer Protection Statute. She received her law degree from Stetson University and an M.B.A. from Stetson University College of Business Administration. She received a B.B.A. in accounting from Middle Tennessee State University.
Amy E. Sanders (Nashville) will focus her practice on operational, regulatory and transactional support for healthcare clients. Amy received her law degree from Vanderbilt University. She earned a B.A. in media, information and technoculture from The University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario.
Mary Katherine Schweihs (Nashville) joins the firm’s Intellectual Property and Technology practice. She earned her law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law and her B.A. in the program of liberal studies from the University of Notre Dame.
John T. Spragens (Nashville) will focus his practice on healthcare fraud, compliance and government investigations. He earned his law degree from Vanderbilt University and earned a B.A in international studies from Kenyon College. Prior to attending law school, John worked as a reporter for the Nashville Scene and subsequently served as legislative assistant and then communications director for U.S. Congressman Jim Cooper.

Robin Wright (Memphis) joins the firm’s Corporate and Securities practice and will counsel securities regulatory filings and compliance. Robin earned her law degree from the University of Arkansas and a B.A. in politics from Washington and Lee University. Prior to joining the firm, Robin was a legislative correspondent for Senator Jon Kyl, Minority Whip in Washington, D.C. where she conducted research and worked with legislative counsel.
Virginia M. Yetter (Nashville) joins the firm’s Litigation practice and will focus on complex business litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Gingie practiced in the Washington, D.C. office of Hunton & Williams LLP. She earned her law degree from Vanderbilt University and received a B.A. from Vanderbilt University in economics and history.
S. Samuel Young (Nashville) will focus his practice on commercial lending, real estate and general commercial law with an emphasis on project finance. Prior to joining the firm, Sam practiced at Peck, Shaffer & Williams in Cincinnati, Ohio.
