Nashville, Tenn., (February 10, 2012) – Bass, Berry & Sims PLC is pleased to welcome five new associates to the firm: Jaime L. Barwig, J. Dustin Geer, S. Ryan Hoffman, J. Daniel Huffines and Jesse K. Skinner.

Jaime L. Barwig joins the Nashville office in the Corporate and Securities Practice while also focusing on Intellectual Property. She earned her law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and received a B.S. in Public Relations and B.A. in History from the University of Florida. After receiving her undergraduate degree, Barwig taught for a year in Chicago through the Teach for America program.

J. Dustin Geer joins the Memphis office in the Litigation Practice. He earned his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. He attended the University of Tennessee and received a B.A. in American Studies with a concentration in U.S. Political Science.

S. Ryan Hoffman joins the Nashville office in the Corporate and Securities Practice. He earned his M.B.A. in 2011 from the University of Tennessee College of Business Administration and his J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law. While in law school Hoffman co-authored an article on crowdfunding enterprises and federal securities laws and conducted research for an upcoming book chapter on corporate governance and the Diamler-Chrysler merger.

J. Daniel Huffines joins the Nashville office in the Corporate and Securities Practice at the firm focusing on securities regulation, corporate governance and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, Huffines practiced in the Memphis office of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz. Dan received a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee and earned his law degree from The University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law.

Jesse K. Skinner joins the Nashville office as part of the Corporate and Securities Practice at the firm. Prior to joining the firm, Skinner worked in the Houston, Texas office of Bracewell & Giuliani. Jesse earned his law degree from Vanderbilt University Law School. He received a B.A. from Johns Hopkins University. Before attending law school, Skinner worked for several years in the government relations department of a national petroleum refiners and petrochemical manufacturers trade association.
