Meredith Thompson joined Bass, Berry & Sims in September 2006 as an attorney in the firm's Litigation Practice Area. 

Meredith graduated from The University of Virginia in 2002 with a B.A degree in art history.  In 2006, she received her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Tennessee.  While in law school, she was elected to the Order of the Coif and Phi Kappa Phi, served as executive editor for the Tennessee Law Review and was awarded the John F. Schrankel Merit Scholarship.  She was also the 2006 recipient of the James Powers Excellence in Advocacy Award for her work in the U.T. Legal Clinic.  Meredith is the author of Note, "Constitutional Law-Free Exercise and Establishment Clauses-A State's Right to Deny the Use of Public Funds for Devotional Degrees Locke V. Davey ," 540 U.S. 712 (2004), 72 Tenn. L. Rev. 981 (2005).
