Mike Kuffner joined the firm in September 2008 as an associate in the Corporate and Securities Practice.

Mike received his J.D in 2008 magna cum laude from The University of Alabama School of Law, where he was elected to Order of the Coif. He was a senior editor for the Alabama Law Review, a member of Bench and Bar Legal Honor Society and a Hugo L. Black Scholar. Mike was also the recipient of the Dean's Community Service Award, a member of the Public Interest Institute Board and a certified legal intern for the Elder Law Clinic. While at Alabama, Mike wrote the best papers in Legal Writing, Secured Transactions, Sales Law and Special Problems in Evidence. Mike is also the author of the Note, “From Public Schools to Public Libraries: Examining the Impact of Brown v. Board of Education on the Desegregation of Public Libraries,” Ala. L. Rev. (forthcoming 2008).

A native of Huntsville, Alabama, Mike graduated from The University of Alabama summa cum laude in 2005 with a B.S. in commerce and business administration, majoring in accounting with a minor in communication studies. He was vice president for financial affairs and treasurer for the Student Government Association, a member of Sigma Chi fraternity and a member of Jason's Society.
