Ms. Hafner joined Bass, Berry & Sims in January 2003 as the Director of Government Relations.  In this capacity, she works closely with J. Richard Lodge, Jr., a Member of the firm and chair of the Government Relations practice, in monitoring legislation and supporting the firm's lobbying efforts on behalf of our clients.

Before joining Bass, Berry & Sims, Ms. Hafner served as Senior Director Customer Relations for Corrections Corporation of America.  She has also worked as the lead legislative liaison for the Tennessee Governor's 2001 Reading Improvement Act, served as executive assistant in the Tennessee Department of Finance and Administration, and worked in the Tennessee Governor's Office from 1995 to 1998 in various press and legislative positions.

Ms. Hafner has been recognized by Business Tennessee's Next Wave of Influential Lobbyists.  She also sits on the board of directors of the Nashville Women's Political Caucus.  Ms. Hafner graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 1992 with a B.S. in public relations.
