Lack of ‘enterprise’ dooms cabin owners’ RICO claim


The Consumer Financial Services Law Report published the article, "Lack of 'enterprise' dooms cabin owners' RICO claim," written by our attorneys John Speer and Colleen Hitch.  This article examines a recent decision made by the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Tennessee based on the use of the Racketeering Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) in consumer fraud litigation.  Speer, a Member in our Litigation Practice Area, specializes in representing and counseling business clients involved in commercial disputes and litigation with an emphasis on representing financial institutions in and out of court.  Hitch, an associate in our Litigation Practice Area, focuses on commercial litigation.
