Kinika’s practice focuses on medical malpractice, product liability, environmental and mass torts, along with commercial litigation.

Commercial and Banking: Kinika has represented several financial institutions and other businesses in a variety of cases involving claims of breach of contract or fiduciary duty; misrepresentation; securities violations; violations of federal statutes, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act; and other business-related activities.

Kinika worked on a team responsible for expedited review and production of millions of pages of electronic and other documents in a high-profile case involving the failed acquisition of a large retail company.

Internal Investigations: Kinika has assisted clients with investigations concerning various matters including Title II discrimination and healthcare regulatory compliance.

Real Estate: Kinika has represented title insurance companies in litigation concerning ownership disputes and insurance coverage issues. She has also represented a utility service provider in resolving a claim concerning easement interference.

Administrative and Regulatory Proceedings: Kinika has served as counsel on behalf of a utility company before the Tennessee Regulatory Authority in a hearing involving highly technical matters, including the resolution of extensive discovery issues and preparation of expert witnesses.

Kinika is a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee. She also participates in the Pencil Partnership program with Antioch Middle School.
