Kristen Wright joined Bass, Berry & Sims PLC in August of 2004 as an associate in the firm's Litigation Practice Area.  She concentrates her practice in the areas of commercial and bankruptcy litigation.  Prior to joining the firm, Kristen practiced in the Insolvency Practice Group at Husch & Eppenberger, LLC in Memphis.

Kristen serves clients in various areas of commercial and business litigation, including contract, tort and lien priority issues.  She has negotiated sophisticated settlements of various business transactions and contract disputes, and she is experienced in all levels of litigation, with extensive practice in Tennessee, Arkansas and federal bankruptcy courts. 

Kristen's practice also includes business workout, corporate reorganization and complex commercial bankruptcy.  She assists clients in sophisticated business bankruptcy matters and offers guidance regarding debtor-in-possession issues.  She has represented secured and unsecured commercial creditors in liquidating and reorganizing Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Cases and is experienced in handling Section 363 sale issues, cash collateral issues, lien priority and avoidance actions, preference actions, stay relief actions, discharge/dischargeability actions, asset recovery and disposition, and other issues confronting creditors in large bankruptcy cases.  She is also skilled at developing and implementing plans for reorganization under Chapter 11.

Kristen received the honor of Phi Beta Kappa at the University of Arkansas, where she earned a B.A. in English cum laude, with Departmental Honors and a minor in communications.  She studied abroad in both Japan and Great Britain through the Fulbright International Studies Program, and was named a Fulbright Senior Scholar.  She received her J.D. cum laude from the University of Arkansas School of Law in 2001, where she served as an Arkansas Law Review member and in Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society.

Kristen is a member of the American, Arkansas, Tennessee and Memphis Bar Associations.  She is admitted to practice in Arkansas and Tennessee.
