Krista Cooper joined Bass, Berry & Sims PLC in March of 2006 as an associate in the firm's Healthcare Practice Area.  Her practice focuses on assisting health care providers with federal and state regulatory and operational issues; analyzing fraud and abuse, including self-referral; conducting due diligence and analysis of mergers & acquisitions from a business and health care regulatory perspective; and related issues affecting health care companies.  She was previously an associate with Manier & Herod, P.C.

Krista graduated, cum laude, from Vanderbilt University in 2000 with a B.A. degree in political science and communication studies.  In 2004, she received her law degree from Vanderbilt University Law School.  While at Vanderbilt Law School, Krista was publication editor of the Vanderbilt Journal of Entertainment Law & Practice, served as treasurer of the Women Law Students Association and received the J. Michael Campbell Scholarship.

Krista is a member of the American, Tennessee and Nashville Bar Associations.  She actively participates in the Lawyers' Association for Women and serves as co-chair of the Mentorship Committee.
