Jeff Yarbro is an associate in Bass, Berry & Sims' Litigation Practice Area. 

A native of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Jeff received an A.B. degree from Harvard University in 1999.  He graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2004.  During law school, Jeff served as the editor-in-chief of the Virginia Law Review.  Upon graduation, he received the Thomas Marshall Miller Prize, awarded to an outstanding member of the graduating class.  He also received the Roy H. and Mary Claiborne Ritter Prize and was elected to the Order of the Coif and the Raven Society.

Prior to joining the firm, Jeff served as a law clerk to Judge Gilbert S. Merritt of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Jeff is admitted to practice in the State of Tennessee, as well as the United States District Courts for the Middle and Eastern Districts of Tennessee and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.  He is a member of the American, Tennessee and Nashville Bar Associations.

Before law school, Jeff worked for the Gore-Lieberman presidential campaign and he remains active in national, state and local politics.  He is also a disaster response volunteer for the American Red Cross and active in Christ Church Episcopal Cathedral.
