Joshua Denton joined Bass, Berry & Sims PLC in August 2003 as an associate in the firm's Litigation Practice Area.  Prior to joining the firm, Josh practiced at Stoll, Keenon & Park, LLP in Louisville, Kentucky.  His practice focuses on antitrust and trade practices matters, including class action litigation; real estate litigation; complex commercial litigation and debtor-creditor relations.

Josh is admitted to practice law in all Tennessee, Kentucky and Indiana state courts, as well as all U.S. District Courts sitting in Tennessee, Kentucky and Indiana.  He also is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Josh is currently co-editing the Tennessee chapter of the State Antitrust Practice and Statutes series, published by the American Bar Association.  He is a member of the ABA's Antitrust Section and the Antitrust Committee of the ABA's Young Lawyers Section.  In addition, Josh is a co-author of "Providing a Safe Harbor for Those Who Play by the Rules: The Case for a Strong Regulatory Compliance Defense," which is scheduled to be published in the Utah Law Review in the Spring of 2008.  Josh has served as a speaker on antitrust compliance, as well as ethics issues.

In 1999, Josh received his J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law.  While in law school, he was a member of the Kentucky Law Journal, where he received the most outstanding second-year staff member award and served as associate editor.  He was also the recipient of CALI Award for highest course grades in Evidence and Family Law, and served as vice president of the Equine Law Society.

Josh graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1996 with a B.A. in journalism and political science, where he received the DeSpain Scholarship for excellence in the field of journalism.  In 1995, Josh served as the co-editor-in-chief of the University of Kentucky's annual, The Kentuckian.  In addition, he was a member of Alpha Lambda Delta and Omicron Delta Kappa honor societies, and served as a congressional intern in Kentucky's third and sixth districts.

He and his wife, Susan, live in Franklin, Tennessee, with their son.
