Joe has represented a range of clients, concentrating his practice on corporate and securities litigation, shareholder litigation and general commercial disputes.

Corporate and Securities: Joe has represented numerous financial institutions and corporations in civil litigations arising from alleged violations of federal and state securities laws. Joe also has participated in the defense of a major accounting firm in litigation stemming from its audits of a company accused of violating the securities laws.

Class Action and Shareholder Suits: Joe has represented businesses, their officers and/or directors in a wide assortment of disputes involving claims of breach of fiduciary duty, misrepresentation, corporate malfeasance, and director and officer liability.

Alternative Dispute Resolution: Joe has experience arbitrating disputes as well as litigating in court.

Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, Joe was a litigation associate at Shapiro Forman Allen & Sava LLP, a specialized litigation boutique in New York City. Joe also previously worked as a litigation associate in the New York office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP.

Joe enjoys travelling and is certified by the Georgetown School of Foreign Service as speaking French at a level commensurate with professional international service. He also enjoys running and cycling in his spare time.
