Jim Bass has practiced law at Bass, Berry & Sims since 1934.  He is a graduate of the University of the South in 1931 and Harvard Law School in 1934.  He is a member of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the American, Tennessee and Nashville Bar Associations (President 1952).  Mr. Bass served as a member of the Tennessee House of Representatives, 1936-1938, and as a State Senator from 1940-1942.  He has been engaged in a general practice throughout his legal career.
