Henry's practice focuses on commercial litigation, including business disputes, product liability and intellectual property.

Business Disputes: Henry has represented financial institutions, manufacturers, health care providers, and a variety of other businesses in his commercial litigation practice.

Intellectual Property and Technology: Henry  has experience representing songwriters, publishers, as well as technology companies in intellectual property disputes including copyright infringement cases.

Products Liability: Henry has represented product manufacturers against medical device and pharmaceutical liability claims in state and federal court including class actions and multidistrict litigation.

Representative Matters include:
  • Defense of national waste management company in class action. The class action was dismissed on summary judgment and that dismissal was affirmed on appeal.
  • Representation of a major music publisher in a digital sampling copyright infringement action. Obtained summary judgment for the client.
  • Defense of international pharmaceutical company in diet drug litigation. Handled numerous individual cases as well as managed the removal to federal court of hundreds of others.
  • Defense of eBay in a multi-million dollar breach of contract action. Handled discovery and document management for the eBay team.
  • Secured payment for a Japanese media company from a domestic transit company for damage to shipped goods.
  • Pro bono representation of 2010 Nashville flood victims.

Henry is married and has two grown children. He is an accomplished songwriter and a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences, the International Bluegrass Music Association and the Nashville Songwriters Association International.
