Primary Care Providers Win Challenge of CMS Interpretation of Enhanced Payment Law

With the help and support of the Tennessee Medical Association, 21 Tennessee physicians of underserved communities joined together and retained Bass, Berry & Sims to file suit against the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to stop improper collection efforts. Our team, led by David King, was successful in halting efforts to recoup TennCare payments that were used legitimately to expand services in communities that needed them. Read more

We represented Mid-America Apartments, L.P., the operating partnership of Mid-America Apartment Communities, Inc., in a public offering of $600,000,000 of 3.600% senior notes due 2027.

Underwriters included Wells Fargo Securities, LLC, Citigroup Global Markets Inc., J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, Jefferies LLC and U.S. Bancorp Investments, Inc.

Mid-America Apartment Communities, Inc., an S&P 500 company (NYSE: MAA), is a real estate investment trust focused on delivering full-cycle and superior investment performance for shareholders through the ownership, management, acquisition, development and redevelopment of quality apartment communities throughout the United States.
