After a tire manufacturer lost a jury verdict in a disability act case, we were retained by the company on appeal and prevailed as a matter of law. Plaintiff then appealed to the Tennessee Supreme Court. Unfortunately, the Tennessee Supreme Court reversed the Court of Appeals and reinstated the jury verdict, but the Court lowered the damages awarded. During the pendency of the appeal, however, after we had prevailed in the Court of Appeals, the client was able to settle two other similar pending matters favorably.
