Erica’s practice focuses on government relations and complex business litigation, including real estate, healthcare, and internal investigations, with experience extending to civil cases in both state and federal courts.

Government Advocacy: Erica is one of the firm's three lobbyists representing clients before the Tennessee General Assembly and Executive Branch. Erica's government relations practice includes representation of companies such as American Express, Brown-Forman Beverage Company, Kaplan Higher Education Corp., Tennessee Hospital Association, Mountain States Health Alliance and the Tennessee Electric Cooperative Association.

Commercial: Erica has represented numerous companies in an assortment of cases involving breach of contract, defects in title, employment disputes, fraud and misrepresentation, violations of fiduciary duty and other business torts.

Healthcare: Erica has experience in representing the firm’s healthcare clients in litigation and dispute resolution. This experience includes responding to governmental inquiries, defending qui tam litigation, and conducting internal investigations for clients with possible regulatory or compliance issues.

Internal Investigations: Erica has been involved in internal investigations and other special projects for clients. She has significant experience in healthcare-related investigations, particularly in the area of hospital/physician relationships.

Erica is active in the community and has represented several pro bono clients in cases involving landlord-tenant disputes, consumer fraud, and general legal matters. She has served on the firm’s Female Mentor Committee and has helped restructure the firm’s summer associate orientation program. She is currently serving on the 2012-2013 board of directors of the Junior League of Nashville. Among other interests, Erica enjoys walking her Great Dane, snow skiing and state and local politics.
