Envision to Sell to KKR for $9.9 Billion

We represented Envision Healthcare Corporation (NYSE: EVHC) in its definitive agreement to sell to KKR in an all-cash transaction for $9.9 billion, including debt. KKR will pay $46 per Envision share in cash to buy the company, marking a 32 percent premium to the company's volume-weighted average share price from November 1, when Envision announced it was considering its options. 11th Annual GEMALaw Sports & Entertainment Law Symposium

Bass, Berry & Sims attorney Tim Browne will serve as a panelist at the 11th Annual GEMALaw Sports & Entertainment Law Symposium at Georgetown University. Tim will speak on a panel titled, "How New Media and Evolving Audience Demands Affect Sports Law." Questions considered by this panel include:

• What are some of the new modes of distribution and streaming of sports events? How do these new technologies change how you do your job?
• Representation of athletes versus in-house lawyers - what are some of the conflicting interests at play?
• Domestic and international deals - how have these deals evolved and changed with technology and social media?
• How would you advise students interested in this field prepare while in law school?

The event will be held on Friday, February 9, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. EST at the Georgetown Law Hart Auditorium. Tim's panel will be held 12:00 - 1:30 p.m. CLE credit is available. For more information and registration, visit the GEMALaw website.
