Bass, Berry & Sims attorney Claire Miley will participate in the Institute on Medicare and Medicaid Payment Issues. Claire will moderate a panel titled "RAP Year in Review" on Tuesday, April 13 from 1:45 p.m. – 3:15 p.m. She will also serve as a panelist on Thursday, April 14 from 11:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. on the topic of, "The Two-Step and Other Change of Ownership (CHOW) Dances."
Topics will include:
- CHOW situations and non-CHOWs, including the 36-month rule for home health agencies
- Benefits and burdens of accepting vs. rejecting automatic assignment of Medicare provider agreement
- Two-step transactions: Changes of Information (CHOI)-CHOI, CHOI-CHOW, CHOW-CHOI, and CHOW-CHOW
The program will be held April 13-15, 2016 at the Baltimore Waterfront Marriott Hotel in Baltimore, Maryland.
