On December 1, 2016, Parker Hannifin Corporation and CLARCOR Inc. announced that the companies have entered into a definitive agreement under which Parker will acquire CLARCOR for approximately $4.3 billion in cash, including the assumption of net debt. The transaction has been unanimously approved by the board of directors of each company. Upon closing of the transaction, expected to be completed by or during the first quarter of Parker’s fiscal year 2018, CLARCOR will be combined with Parker’s Filtration Group to form a leading and diverse global filtration business. Physician Compensation Under the Microscope: Lessons Learned from Recent Settlements

Bass, Berry & Sims attorney Anna Grizzle will speak with Charity Elmer of CoxHealth and Tizgel K.S. High of LifePoint Health at the Health Care Compliance Association's (HCCA) 20th Annual Compliance Institute. Anna will speak on Wednesday, April 20 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. on the topic of "Physician Compensation Under the Microscope: Lessons Learned from Recent Settlements." The session will give attendees insight into best practices and offer key takeaways from recent cases. Topics will include:

  • An overview of lessons learned from recent settlements, including Tuomey, Adventist Health and North Broward Hospital District
  • Regulatory requirements related to physician compensation, including Stark group practice and incentive compensation models
  • Best practices for establishing and auditing physician compensation;

The conference will be held April 17 – 20, 2016 at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
