Bass, Berry & Sims attorney Michael Sontag will speak at the Council on State Taxation (COST) 46th Annual Meeting and Fall Audit Session. His session is titled “Hidden Clawbacks – The New ‘Welcome Stranger’ Paradigm,” which will discuss the results of an informal survey of states that offer attractive credits and incentives to foster business development, but then “claw back” some of the benefits through aggressive or uncertain tax positions on audits.
