Memphis, Tenn., February 4, 2009 – Eric J. Loumeau has joined the Memphis office of Bass, Berry & Sims as a Member in the Corporate and Securities Practice Group. Loumeau will focus on securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance. He comes to the firm having most-recently served as a partner in the corporate and securities group of the national law firm of Mintz Levin. Loumeau previously served as vice president, general counsel and chief compliance officer for Hollis-Eden Pharmaceuticals and prior to that as a corporate and securities partner in the San Diego office of the national law firm of Cooley Godward Kronish.
Loumeau has extensive experience counseling public and private companies in the life science, telecommunications, software, information technology and retail industries in a broad range of securities and M&A transactions and has represented national underwriters in securities offerings in those industries. He attended Harvard Law School and earned his law degree from the Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California, Berkeley.
